Care Initiatives Hospice seeks a compassionate Hospice Aide to support patients and families in Storm Lake, Cherokee and surrounding areas. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and collaborate with the care team to deliver personalized, respectful end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• Experience as Hospice Aide/Home Health Aide/CNA within last 24 months preferred.
• Hospice or palliative care experience preferred.
• Active CPR certification required.
• Current driver''s license and auto insurance; ability to travel between locations.
• Ability to obtain Hospice Nursing Assistant Certification within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming and eating.
• Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering an engaging environment.
• Interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Encourage recreational and therapeutic activities to improve health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Care Initiatives is looking for a Hospice Aide to help serve our patients in Storm Lake, Cherokee & surrounding areas!

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocolsto ensure a clean and safe environment for safety.

Qualifications:

• Experience working as a Hospice Aide, Home Health Aide, and/or Certified Nursing Assistant during the previous 24 months, preferred.
• Hospice or palliative care experience, preferred.
• Active CPR certification, required.
• Current driver's license, automobile liability insurance, and the ability to travel between multiple locations within your region.
• Ability to obtain Hospice Nursing Assistant Certification (through CHPN) within 24 months of employment.
