Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Registered Nurse - Hospice After Hour On-Call RN to support patients during evenings and weekends. The role combines remote triage and field visits to ensure continuous, high-quality hospice care.

Responsibilities include on-call triage, coordinating with physicians and care teams, educating patients and caregivers, and documenting all interactions. On-call schedule: Friday 5pm - Monday 8am, with full-time compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in assigned state(s).
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ years nursing experience, hospice/home health or acute care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide on-call nursing support and triage patient needs.
• Assess patient conditions via phone or in-person visits.
• Coordinate with physicians and care teams for timely care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on symptom management and care plans.
• Document all patient interactions and clinical decisions accurately.
