Job summary
Phoenix Home Care & Hospice in Joplin, MO is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to co-lead our clinical operations and advance patient care quality.
As ADON, you will supervise nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, participate in hiring and staff development, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes.
This full-time role offers a day schedule, Monday–Friday, with opportunities for leadership growth within a mission-driven organization.
Qualifications
- Active Missouri RN license required.
- Experience in hospice leadership preferred.
- 2+ years experience in hospice.
- Strong knowledge of clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Nursing in daily clinical operations.
- Supervise, coach, and develop nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.
- Assist with patient care oversight and clinical quality initiatives.
- Review and support care plans to ensure appropriate service delivery.
- Conduct staff education, training, and performance evaluations.
- Assist with problem solving, escalations, and clinical decision making.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
