Aspire Talent Solutions in Kansas City, MO is seeking a compassionate Hospice Nurse (LPN or RN) for a 7on/7off on-call schedule serving the East Kansas City Metro area within a ~30-mile radius. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care after hours and coordinate with families and professionals to meet needs.

The Hospice Nurse evaluates, plans and coordinates care, providing physical, emotional and social support to patients and families in home and community settings.

Qualifications

• Active MO/KS nursing license required.
• CPR certification required.
• 2-5 years hospice/palliative or end-of-life care experience.
• Knowledge of hospice services and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Evening and weekend on-call coverage under 7on/7off schedule.

HIRING: Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse of Registered Nurse

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday 5PM-8AM

Friday 5PM-Monday 8AM (Continuous)

Territory: East Kansas City Metro territory covering approximately a 30-mile radius: Jackson County, and portions of Clay, Lafayette, Cass, Ray and Johnson counties; on-call clinicians may be dispatched anywhere within the service area.

MARY:

The 7on/7off hospice nurse supports the patient needs of the agency in the evening during the weekdays and over the weekend. The professional nurse builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individual and families within their homes and communities after normal business hours.

We are looking for a compassionate, talented and experienced Hospice Nurse (LPN or RN) that is eager to join an exciting organization and become part of our Hospice team.

The Hospice Nurse provides service for the personal, physical, emotional and social needs of the patient-family unit. Hospice Nurse will be responsible for evaluating and responding to the patient’s/caregiver’s needs via telephone contact, home visits, and/or facility visits for assessment, symptom management, treatment, teaching and coordination of care.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active Nursing License in the state of MO / KS
• Maintains an active CPR certification.
• At least 2-5 years of experience in hospice, palliative care and/or training in end-of-life care.
• Knowledge of hospice care and the services provided to patient and family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary group.
• Demonstrate organizational skills.
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate analytical skills when problem-solving.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
