Job summary

United Central Industrial Supply, a SunSource company, seeks a Hose Technician to support manufacturing of hose, pipe and gasket products. The role acts as an intermediary between sales and production, providing technical assistance to promote product knowledge and sales effectiveness.

You will work with customers to understand end-use requirements, develop technical solutions to manufacturing issues, improve processes, and coordinate with inventory control on stock and obsolete items.

Qualifications

• Experience or familiarity with hose, pipe or gasket manufacturing preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as intermediary between sales and production to promote product knowledge and facilitate the sales process.
• Work with customers to learn end-use requirements and provide/suggest technical solutions to individual customer problems.
• Develop technical solutions to manufacturing issues and improve hose and gasket production processes.
• Facilitate repair and ongoing maintenance of current equipment.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control regarding stock levels and obsolete inventory.
