Job summary

United Central Industrial Supply, a SunSource company, is seeking a Hose Technician to support sales and production by applying technical knowledge to promote products and resolve issues.

The role includes learning end-use requirements, proposing innovative solutions, improving hose and gasket manufacturing, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with inventory control to manage stock levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as intermediary between sales and production personnel, providing technical assistance designed to promote product knowledge and to facilitate the overall sales process.
• Work with existing and new customers, learn their end-use product requirements and provide/suggest innovative technical solutions to individual customer problems.
• Develop technical solutions to product manufacturing issues. Improve and streamline the hose and gasket manufacturing process. Evaluate new tools in the manufacture of said products. Improve the current utilization of current tools/equipment, to include programming improvements of computer-controlled devices.
• Facilitate the repair and ongoing maintenance of current equipment.
• Work with Inventory Control regarding stock levels, obsolete inventory, etc.

I. FUNCTIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Purpose

To improve and facilitate the manufacture of Hose, Pipe and Gasket products offered by United Central Industrial Supply Co. LLC., throughout its organization.

Primary Functions
