Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is hiring for a hose assembler in Texas. You will assemble hydraulic hoses, prepare shipments, and inspect assemblies. Responsibilities include handling customer inquiries, processing orders, and maintaining inventory while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist walk in customers with product needs and order processing.
  • Process orders and quotes via email or phone.
  • Answer delivery inquiries and check stock availability.
  • Load/unload materials from trucks or other vehicles.
  • Prepare bill of lading and shipping documents.
  • Keep warehouse clean and safe.
  • Resolve customer complaints.
  • Operate forklift and other lifting devices.
  • Make local deliveries as needed.
  • Assemble/crimp hoses and inspect assemblies with calibrated tools.
  • Prepare finished products for shipment.

Position Summary

Responsible for the assembling of hydraulic hoses to meet customer requirements, prepare shipments, receives and verifies items against receiving documents. Rearranges and takes inventory of materials, keeps warehouse clean and verifies the quality of hose assemblies.

Responsible for the assembling of hydraulic hoses to meet customer requirements, prepare shipments, receives and verifies items against receiving documents. Rearranges and takes inventory of materials, keeps warehouse clean and verifies the quality of hose assemblies.

Essential Functions
  • Assist walk in customers on their product needs through identification, technical support, and order processing.
  • Process customer orders and quotes for various products and value-added services through email or phone inquiries.
  • Answer delivery inquiries, follow up on purchasing and receiving of a specific product, checking availability of stock, back-order status, vendor schedules, and shipping dates.
  • Loads/unloads material on or from trucks or other vehicles.
  • Prepares bill of lading, shipping documents.
  • Keeps warehouse clean.
  • Resolves customer complaints.
  • Operates forklift, and other lifting devices.
  • Pick up and/or make deliveries locally.
  • Cuts and cleans hoses.
  • Assemble/crimp hoses, utilizes calibrated measurement tools to inspect the hose assemblies.
  • Prepares assembled products for shipment to the customer.
  • Maintains non-conforming log and materials.

Education
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Experience
  • 1+ years related experience.
Certificates & Licenses
  • HH Forklift Certified preferred.

  • Valid Driver's License, Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
