Job summary

MID-STATE AEROSPACE INC in Olathe, KS is seeking a meticulous hose assembly technician to perform primary and routine assembly tasks under limited supervision, following military and other standards with blueprints, drawings, and clear instructions.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, the ability to take direction, and the capacity to work autonomously while maintaining safety with hazardous materials and lean/5S practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of complex assembly operations on components or subassemblies in accordance with military and other standards using blueprints/drawings, visual aids, and verbal and/or written instructions.
• Prep components before assembly, clean, inspect, and mark components and final assemblies.
• Set up and operate necessary equipment and machinery.
• Spray, paint, and mix various compounds.
• Observe health and safety procedures when handling hazardous chemicals.
• Identify and report any difficulty affecting quality to lead or supervisor.
• Follow Lean and 5S initiatives.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• Minimum of one (1) or two (2) yearsof previous experience preferred.
