Job summary

Bfx-Fire-Apparatus in Weatherford, TX is seeking an assembler to safely construct equipment by following detailed instructions from supervisors and trainers. You will assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto trucks using power equipment and wrenching techniques, drill holes, and position components with templates or measurements.

The role requires lifting up to 65 lbs and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6+ months of experience in manufacturing or general labor.
• Basic hand tools and rolling toolbox/cart preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and subassemblies following instructions.
• Assemble wires, hoses and hydraulics onto trucks using power equipment and wrenching.
• Drill holes for wires and parts and position components using measurements.
• Install truck accessories and maintain safety and quality standards.
• Lift and stack subassemblies up to 65 lbs and follow work instructions.

Job description

This position is responsible for safely assembling equipment by following detailed instructions from supervisors and trainers. These assemblies vary in size and require the use of a variety of mechanical and manual tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies
• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto trucks utilizing power equipment and wrenching techniques
• Drill holes for wires, hoses and small parts
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
• Install various truck accessories (latches, lights, reflectors, etc.)
• Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts up to 65 lbs.
• Train and work in various areas of assembly in response to production demands
• Follow verbal and written work instructions
• Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Regular attendance required
• All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing or general labor industry
• Basic hand tools and rolling tool box/cart preferred
