Job summary

PIRTEK Brooklyn is looking for hands-on service technicians to keep New York’s equipment moving. You’ll drive a fully equipped PIRTEK van, respond to breakdowns, diagnose and replace hydraulic hoses, and service marine, construction, and industrial gear.

This role requires readiness for on‑call shifts, including nights and weekends, with additional pay. You’ll join a tight-knit NYC crew that values practical problem solving, reliability, and clear communication with customers.

What You’ll Actually Do

This isn’t a vague “technician” role. Here’s the real work:

• Drive a fully outfitted PIRTEK mobile service van across Brooklyn and the greater NYC area
• Respond to on-site breakdowns, routinely on an emergency basis
• Diagnose, replace, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses

• Work on:
• Marine equipment, tugboats, and shipyards
• Construction equipment

• Industrial machinery

• Machine servicing and cylinder repair

• Be part of the on‑call rotation (yes, nights and weekends happen — and yes, you’re paid extra for it)
• Communicate clearly with customers — explaining what’s wrong and what it’ll take to fix it
• Keep your truck, tools, and paperwork in order so you’re always ready to roll
