Job summary

SunSource seeks an Assembly Hose Technician to support Hose, Pipe and Gasket production in the Southwest. The role interfaces with sales and production to promote product knowledge and deliver technical solutions for customer needs in Phoenix and nearby sites.

Responsibilities include improving manufacturing processes, troubleshooting equipment, training staff, and visiting customer sites to assess requirements and provide guidance on implementation of new tools and techniques.

Qualifications

• College degree (technical-related field preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Intimate understanding of the hose/pipe/gasket business and the specialized/technical equipment used to assemble/manufacture said products.
• Specific knowledge and expertise with the 'specific product' groups.
• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as intermediary between sales and production to promote product knowledge.
• Learn end-use product requirements and provide/suggest technical solutions to customer problems.
• Develop technical solutions to manufacturing issues and improve hose/gasket processes.
• Oversee and train manufacturing staff and prepare procedures manuals.
• Visit customer sites to troubleshoot problems and evaluate needs.
