Job summary

Western States Equipment Co. in Meridian, ID, is seeking a hose assembly technician to build and design custom hose assemblies for customers, stock parts, and process orders in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

The role requires forklift operation, basic dealer system knowledge, and at least two years in warehouse work or equivalent. Mechanically inclined candidates with strong English communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years’ experience in warehouse or 2 years as Western States combined warehouse and/or delivery driver, or 4 years non-CAT warehouse experience.
• Previous experience in hose production or warehouse is preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with general understanding of machinery and hand tools.
• Proof of driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).

Responsibilities

• Build hose assemblies for customers and stock in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Identify various types of fittings and hose and offer replacement options for customers.
• Design and estimate custom hose assemblies based on customer needs and application.
• Create sales orders to provide customer invoices for hose purchases.
• Maintain tooling and equipment in the hose room.
• Pull and package parts to fill customer orders in a timely fashion.
• Deliver and provide pickup of parts, cylinders and components for service repairs when needed.
• Perform daily bin and physical inventory counts.
