Join us at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment as a Horticulture Technician, Sr. and help maintain the beauty of our grounds at Sesame Place. We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and hard-working individuals to be part of our team and bring joy to visitors from around the world.

What You Will Do

You will be part of an outstanding team responsible for horticultural, groundskeeping, and greenhouse tasks, including watering, weeding, planting, transplanting, pruning, mulching, and mowing. Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing, caring for, maintaining, and removing park annuals, ornamentals, turf, and trees
• Operating equipment such as mowers, augers, trimmers, shears, tillers, utility carts, water tanks, tractors, forklift, loaders, trucks, trailers (training provided)
• Performing cold-weather protection and hurricane preparedness
• Repairing weather-damaged areas
• Communicating professionally with Ambassadors, Vendors, and Guests
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications for Success

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving guidelines
• Previous experience in horticulture or landscape setting
• Ability to lead and work with a team
• Creative problem-solving skills and landscape issue identification
• Flexible scheduling
• Dependability and willingness to learn all aspects of landscaping
• Heavy machinery experience (preferred: backhoe, forklift, manlift)

Additional Important Information

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Extensive walking, standing, and climbing during shifts
• Physical activities: kneeling, squatting, reaching, grasping, fine manipulation
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat
• Flexible work hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Work location may vary based on business needs and career development opportunities
