What You Get To Do

As a Horticulture Technician, you'll perform a variety of horticultural, groundskeeping and greenhouse tasks, including watering, weeding, planting, transplanting, pruning and mulching.

You Will Also

• Provide exemplary service to guests and ambassadors
• Maintain the landscaping in the park and surrounding areas
• Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as watering, weeding, planting and pruning
• Perform tasks related to cold-weather protection as well as preparation for storms and perform repair work for any weather damage or other damage
• Maintain cleanliness and quality of work area
• Perform and complete assigned tasks from management as needed

What It Takes To Succeed

• Detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment under general supervision
• A passion for customer service
• Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines including PA pesticide license
• Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations
• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications

What Else Is Important

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Must be able to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs
• Willingness to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift
• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
• Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
• Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat and cold temperatures
• Must provide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends and holidays) and adhere to our Holiday and Availability agreement.
• Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements within established timelines
