Job summary

The College of Music at the University of Colorado Boulder seeks an accomplished horn teacher and performer for a full-time tenure-track/tenured faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor, commencing August 12, 2027. Responsibilities include teaching applied horn, weekly studio class, chamber music coordination, and active scholarly and artistic engagement.

Qualifications

Experience teaching at the college level and in recruiting or graduate advising is desirable.
Proven excellence as a performing artist in horn.
Master's degree in Horn Performance or equivalent professional experience required; doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

Teach applied horn and weekly studio class for horn students.
Coach chamber music and related brass courses; participate in recruitment.
Advise students and supervise graduate theses/projects; serve on graduate committees.
Maintain an active creative career and contribute to department and university service.
