Job Summary

A lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of our students in and around aquatic environments such as pools, beaches, and water parks. This role involves monitoring activities, preventing accidents, responding to emergencies, and enforcing safety rules.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously observe swimmers and surrounding areas to identify potential hazards or unsafe behavior
• Enforce all facility rules and safety regulations
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including performing water rescues and administering first aid or CPR
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, including checking equipment and reporting issues
• Provide assistance and guidance to students regarding water safety

Qualifications

• Current lifeguard certification (e.g., CPR, First Aid, AED)
• Strong swimming skills and physical fitness
• Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay calm and act decisively in emergencies

Work Environment
