During the Full-Service Oil Change, the Hood Technician is responsible for performing all services in the engine compartment. The Hood Technician also directs activities in the bay area, ensuring services are thoroughly completed and recorded on the Work Order. Responsibilities include:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Work safely and conduct vehicle inspections
2. Wear safety gear
3. Use Echo System
4. Guide vehicles into the bay
5. Perform light checks
6. Place fender covers on vehicles
7. Echo services and vehicle information
8. Check/fill automatic transmission fluid when applicable
9. Check the condition and level of oil
10. Remove and check emissions components: air filter, cabin air filter, breather, radiator cap
11. Deliver emissions components to the center manager for customer presentation
12. Top off fluids: power steering, windshield washer, coolant, battery electrolyte
13. Test coolant
14. Perform visual inspections of belts, hoses, and other hood components, noting any unusual conditions
15. Replace top-side oil filter when applicable
16. Add the correct amount of oil
17. Perform additional services as applicable
18. Install emissions components
19. Perform final safety and quality checks
20. Record information on Work Order
21. Clean and organize own work area

Job Qualifications

• Vehicle Inspectors License is a plus but must be obtainable
• Customer service skills
• Basic literacy (reading, writing, math skills)
• Ability and license to operate motor vehicles
