California State University, Long Beach, invites applications for the Associate Director of Leadership Engagement in the University Honors Program. This role leads leadership programs, oversees advising workshops, and partners with campus departments to expand student development and service opportunities.

The ideal candidate has extensive academic counseling experience, strong leadership and mentoring skills, and proficiency with advising systems (PeopleSoft, CSLink, Excel).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in counseling/ guidance, human relations, or related field; four years of professional experience.
• Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree with counseling and guidance, human relations, or related fields; four years of experience.
• Master's degree in Higher Education, Social Sciences or Liberal Arts preferred.
• Academic Advising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Leadership and Engagement programs, developing large and small scale events and collaborations with university departments and off-campus organizations.
• Oversee Advising Activities & Workshops in collaboration with the UHP Academic Advising Lead and ensure deadlines and degree requirements are met.
• Assist in Program planning, development and implementation, shaping guidelines and communicating them to students.
