HPL Apollo seeks a dedicated Class B Driver to join our perishable freight forwarding team in Honolulu, HI. Responsibilities include safely operating Class B vehicles, ensuring timely delivery of perishable goods, and maintaining logs per DOT regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, reliable time management, and the ability to work closely with dispatch and warehouse teams to ensure proper loading, unloading, and product quality throughout transit.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Hawaii CDL Class B and clean MVR.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; 21+ years old.
• 2+ years commercial driving experience preferred; ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class B vehicles on assigned routes in compliance with policies and laws.
• Ensure timely perishable deliveries and adhere to schedules to prevent spoilage.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues to management.
• Maintain logs of driving times, rest periods, and vehicle service entries per regulations.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for loading/unloading perishable items.
• Monitor temperature-controlled transport to ensure product quality during transit.
• Communicate with dispatch to resolve issues during transit.
• Assist with loading/unloading when needed and minimize damage.
• Participate in safety meetings and ongoing driver training.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
