Turbine Controls MRO, a VSE Aviation Company, is seeking a Machinist to perform alteration tasks on aviation articles and to develop tooling equipment. You will set up CNC machines, read drawings, and ensure parts meet FAA and aerospace standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of machinist experience; 3+ years preferred. Proficiency with precision instruments and blueprints is desired. DOT background check may apply.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of machinist or relevant/technical experience.
  • Basic computer operating skills (Word).
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, or hones machining equipment, to produce parts to required specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Prioritize components for repairs to ensure on-time delivery requirements are met.
  • Perform quality checks on parts using precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CNC and/or hones machining equipment as needed.
  • Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to ensure all parts meet aerospace standards.

Our focus on customer satisfaction, process improvement, quality, delivery and competitive pricing has made TC MRO a recognized leader in the aerospace industry.SUMMARY: The Machinist will perform alteration tasks on aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA. In addition to that, the machinist will also develop, duplicate, and manufacture tooling equipment as required.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, or hones machining equipment, to produce parts to required specifications.Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.Prioritize components for repairs to ensure on-time delivery requirements are met.Perform quality checks on parts using precision measuring tools and equipment.Maintain and troubleshoot CNC and/or hones machining equipment as needed.Ensure up-to-date knowledge of all tools and proper use of equipment within the assigned area of responsibility.Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed.Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to ensure all parts meet strict aerospace standards.Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma/GED or equivalent.2 years of machinist or relevant/technical work experience.Flexible to changing workloads/priorities based on customer requirements.Maintain an orderly and productive work environment.Ability to function in fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.Basic computer operating skills (Word).PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:3+ year of machining experience.Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments.Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical specifications.OTHER:The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and DOT drug testing.
