Job summary

ChampionX, now part of SLB, seeks a Hone Operator for the 2nd shift in Crowley, TX. You will operate hones, CNC equipment, and inspection processes, following standard work and quality/safety protocols.

You will apply Lean Manufacturing principles, participate in daily team meetings, and support continuous improvement initiatives while cross-training on equipment. This role requires 1 year of manufacturing experience, good computer and communication skills, and willingness to overtime as needed;

Qualifications

• 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good computer skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Commitment to overtime as needed.
• Maintain appropriate levels of daily attendance, initiative and productivity.
• Read and follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete work according to product specifications.
• Read and understand product specifications, drawings, and prints.

Responsibilities

• Produce barrels through use of saws, straighteners, CNC equipment, hones, paint equipment and inspection processes per standard work methods.
• Learn and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to maintain high quality.
• Participate in daily team meetings and Continuous Improvement programs.
• Operate and cross-train on multiple machines to maximize productivity.
• Rotate among processes as needed and support others to meet customer demand.
• Use measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, tape) to ensure parts meet specs.
