Job summary

Sport Honda in Silver Spring, MD, seeks an experienced Honda Master Technician to join our on-site service team. You will perform advanced diagnostics, electrical and mechanical repairs, and scheduled maintenance on Honda vehicles according to manufacturer standards.

You’ll use dealer-grade tools, review service bulletins, document findings, and communicate with service advisors. A strong commitment to quality, safety, and guest satisfaction is essential in our customer-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Honda Master Technician certification or equivalent advanced Honda factory training.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills in automotive electrical, mechanical, and drivability systems.
• Proficiency with modern automotive diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and service software.
• Ability to interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical service bulletins.
• Solid knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and manufacturer-recommended service schedules.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality workmanship, safety standards, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to work with service advisors, teammates, and guests in a professional manner.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented service department and manage multiple repair orders.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• ASE certifications and prior Honda dealership experience are highly beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in automotive technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostic work on Honda vehicles.
• Complete complex mechanical and electrical repairs according to manufacturer standards.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance on Honda vehicles.
• Use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment; consult service bulletins.
• Document work performed and communicate findings to service advisors.
• Support other technicians through mentorship and technical guidance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to dealership policies.
