Hendrick Automotive Group is seeking a Service Advisor with experience in guiding customers through the maintenance and repair process. An ideal candidate should have knowledge in the automotive industry to advise customers on vehicle maintenance, recommend warranty protections and potential cost savings, schedule service appointments, and provide accurate repair estimates for labor/parts. As the first point of contact for our clients in the service department, Service Advisors play an integral role in representing our commitment to EXCEPTIONAL customer service and automotive care. Job Responsibilities include working with customer and technician to identify required maintenance, advising customers on necessary and recommended services, offering additional services and repairs to customers, computing cost of replacement parts and labor, estimating cost of repairs, entering itemized estimates on service orders and explaining them to customers, scheduling appointments, maintaining CSI at or above company standards, maintaining an organized, clean and safe work area, participating in required training, recording hours worked accurately, following safeguards rules and regulations, demonstrating company core values, complying with company policies and procedures, observing all safety rules and regulations, and other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications include a valid driver's license, college degree or equivalent, 3 years of Service Advisor experience preferably in a dealership, working knowledge of mechanical operations of vehicles, excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills. Skills requirements include intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Dealership Management System and other web-based applications. Communication skills require ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively with customers and personnel. Attendance expectations require regular and predictable in-person attendance with scheduled shifts typically 5 days per week, Monday-Saturday, possibly including holidays. Physical demands include talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting, and possible exposure to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service repair conditions. Environment demands include working in the service area, conducting road tests, inspecting vehicles, and frequent movement around the service department. Verbal and writing ability includes reading and comprehending instructions and effectively presenting information. Math ability includes basic arithmetic. Reasoning ability includes applying common sense and dealing with standardized situations.
