Job summary

Fortera Credit Union in Nashville, TN is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to help members achieve homeownership across Clarksville, Nashville and southern Kentucky. You will build your own client pipeline, form lasting relationships with local Realtors and builders, and guide members through every step of the loan process as their primary contact.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of mortgage loan origination experience; 3–5 years preferred.
• State Mortgage Loan Originator license or ability to obtain within 6 months (sponsored).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with insurance.
• Working knowledge of mortgage products, documentation, processing, and underwriting guidelines.
• Strong interpersonal, public relations, and written/oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Generate new mortgage loan business and manage an existing client pipeline.
• Build and maintain relationships with Realtors, builders, and referral partners.
• Interview applicants, structure loans, and guide processing as the member's point of contact.
• Serve as mortgage product resource for assigned branches and staff.
• Stay current on lending standards, regulations, and local market trends.
• Complete required compliance training and follow BSA regulations.
• Represent the Credit Union at community and civic events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
