DB Insurance USA is hiring a Personal Lines Underwriter specializing in Homeowners and Dwelling Fire. You will assess risks, analyze client information, and work with agents to deliver competitive, profitable solutions.

The role requires underwriting knowledge, attention to detail, and collaboration with internal teams. Hybrid work after 90 days with 3 days in-office and 2 remote days, in Great Neck, NY area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field.
• 0 to 3+ years of personal lines underwriting experience, with level based on experience.
• Understanding of underwriting principles, policy guidelines, and state regulations for Homeowners and Dwelling Fire.
• Proficiency in analytical decision-making and communication with agents and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess property characteristics, claims history, and other data to determine insurability and risk level.
• Conduct risk analyses in line with guidelines and state regulations.
• Make decisions to accept, modify, or reject applications based on underwriting policies.
• Collaborate with agents, brokers, and customer service teams to communicate underwriting decisions.
