Right at Home, located in Wallingford, CT, is seeking to hire Live-In Caregivers with a reliable car, driver’s license, and insurance to provide professional, comfortable, and supportive in-home care to clients. Make a difference by helping people stay in their homes.

Locations:

Wallingford, Hamden, Middletown, Cromwell, Southington, Plainville, Cheshire, Waterbury, Naugatuck, Middlebury, Watertown, Woodbury, Southbury, Terryville, Plymouth, Thomaston.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Reliable car, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a background check
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Certifications:

• CNA or HHA certification
• Covid vaccination and booster, PPD, Flu, Hep B, MMR
• CPR and First Aid

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Assist with activities of daily living: hygiene, ambulation, dressing/shaving
• Prepare meals, accompany to errands or appointments
• Light housekeeping
• Patient-specific activities: medication reminders, exercises, blood glucose monitoring, bed-bound care, incontinence care, use of lifting equipment

Experience:

• Hoyer lift, personal care, ROM exercises, Foley care, companionship, light cleaning

Compensation:

$16.00 - $22.00 per hour.

Minimum Haves:

• Pass background check and competency evaluation
• CPR certification recommended
• 6 months healthcare experience or completion of approved course
