Job summary

Masonic Villages Sewickley Campus is hiring a Homemaker/Companion on site. No certification is required and comprehensive training is provided. Starting pay is $14 per hour with flexible hours and no travel, all work on our beautiful campus in Sewickley, PA.

As a Caregiver, you will support residents with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meal cues, and social engagement, contributing to their quality of life through our Mission of Love.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not essential.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Sincere interest in working with the elderly.
• Satisfactorily completes orientation training.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality companionship and assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Assists with light housekeeping, laundry, meals, and transport as needed.
• Shopping with or for residents, accompany residents to appointments, and social visits.

What You’ll Do As a Homemaker/Companion:

As a Caregiver, you will carry out our Mission of Love by shopping with or for residents, accompanying residents for appointments, pet care, laundry, medication reminders, light housekeeping, bath/shower safety and social visits.

Our Homemaker/Companion is responsible for the following:

• Provides quality companionship services to seniors in their homes with specific services as outlined in the service plan.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living i.e. bathing, hair care, nail care, mouth care, feeding, skin care, and toileting. Completes and documents all care as assigned accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in meal preparation and providing cueing for meals as indicated.
• Assists in keeping resident’s living area neat to include light housekeeping chores and laundry as directed by the service plan.
• Transports resident to activities or appointments and run errands as directed by the service plan.

What You Need as a Homemaker/Companion:

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred, but not essential
• Successful completion of a criminal background check
