Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania – Sewickley Campus is hiring a Homemaker/Companion. No travel required; all work is on our Sewickley campus. Starting pay is $14 per hour, with PRN and flexible day options available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred, but not essential.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality companionship to residents and assist with daily living activities as outlined in the service plan.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, and toileting; help with meals and light housekeeping.
• Transport residents to activities or appointments and run errands as directed.
• Shop with or for residents and accompany them to appointments, including pet care and social visits.

What You'll Do As a Homemaker/Companion

As a Caregiver, you will carry out our Mission of Love by shopping with or for residents, accompanying residents for appointments, pet care, laundry, medication reminders, light housekeeping, bath/shower safety and social visits.

Our Homemaker/Companion Is Responsible For The Following

• Provides quality companionship services to seniors in their homes with specific services as outlined in the service plan.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living i.e. bathing, hair care, nail care, mouth care, feeding, skin care, and toileting. Completes and documents all care as assigned accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in meal preparation and providing cueing for meals as indicated.
• Assists in keeping resident's living area neat to include light housekeeping chores and laundry as directed by the service plan.
• Transports resident to activities or appointments and run errands as directed by the service plan.

What You Need As a Homemaker/Companion

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred, but not essential
• Successful completion of a criminal background check
• Sincere interest in working with the elderly
• Satisfactorily completes orientation training
• Valid Pennsylvania Drivers License required
