City of Seattle is seeking a Division Director for the Homelessness Division to lead over 40 staff and oversee $175 million in funding across Homeless Investments, Public Health, and Planning. The role focuses on responding to needs, preventing homelessness, and improving the homeless system response.

Qualifications

• Eight years directing human services programs including leadership over operations, program development, negotiation, and budget management.
• Two years at the executive level.
• Four years supervising staff in a management or executive role.
• Experience building community relationships and reducing racial disparities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with providers and advocates to shape a spectrum of care for homelessness.
• Direct program policy development, planning, and implementation with a racial equity lens.
• Present strategies and direction to the City leadership, Mayor, Council, and community groups.
• Develop and implement a results-based accountability model for program direction.
• Oversee budget and 175 contracts totaling over $175 million in investments.
• Build and maintain partnerships with City departments, government entities, and community groups to support programs.
