Job summary

SMA Healthcare is seeking a Counselor for the Homeless Recovery Community Based program in Ocala, FL. The role entails providing psychotherapy to individuals, groups, and families, and coordinating care within a multidisciplinary team.

You will assess psychiatric history, substance use, and social determinants; develop treatment plans and adjust as needed; document progress in SMA's EMR and advocate for clients' rights and preferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Masters degree in psychology, social work, counseling preferred.
• Licensure as Addictions Professional or Clinical Social Worker/MH Counselor/LMFT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy.
• Assesses psychiatric history, mental status, and comorbidities.
• Develops and updates individualized treatment plans.
• Maintains progress notes in SMA's EMR.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for client outcomes.
• Coordinates with external services to address client needs.
