Job summary

SMA Healthcare in Ocala, FL seeks a licensed/masters-level mental health professional to provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy. You will assess psychiatric history, develop and modify treatment plans, educate clients and families, and document progress in SMA's EMR.

Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and coordination with outside services are essential. Strong knowledge of DSM, clinical assessment, and evidence-based therapy approaches is required; additional certification

Qualifications

• Masters' Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related Human Services discipline required.
• Certification as Addictions Professional or licensure as CSW, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts psychotherapy with individuals, groups, or families.
• Assesses psychiatric history, mental status, diagnosis, health, risks, and treatment needs.
• Develops and updates individualized treatment plans.
• Monitors symptoms and response to treatment and adjusts plans accordingly.
• Educates and supports clients and families, advocating for client rights.
• Documents progress in SMA's EMR to maintain records.
• Participates in staff meetings and treatment planning.
• Coordinates with outside services to address client needs.
• Provides practical support, problem solving, and supervision as needed.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
