Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in emergency management, homeland security, public policy, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in exercise planning, emergency management, or related field.
• Working knowledge of HSEEP principles, processes, terminology, and documentation.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Independently support planning, design, conduct, and evaluation of HSEEP exercises.
• Lead exercise planning workstreams and coordinate with staff, clients, SMEs, and organizations.
• Develop exercise objectives, scenarios, planning materials, and After-Action Reports.
• Support planning meetings and discussions with government and private sector stakeholders.
• Conduct research on homeland security, cybersecurity, emergency management, and critical infrastructure risks.
• Translate complex information into audience-appropriate materials and briefings.
• Coordinate logistics, communications, documents, and action-item tracking.
• Analyze observations and feedback to identify findings and improvement actions.
• Review products for accuracy, formatting, and compliance with requirements.
• Manage tasks and deliverables to schedules, flag risks to leadership.
