Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced care across homecare facilities, hospital discharges, and patient homes. You will assess, treat, and educate patients with cardiopulmonary conditions, serving as a resource to CRT staff and interdisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes independent decision-making, patient advocacy, equipment management, and excellent customer service, with opportunities to contribute to program development and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution.
• Current State License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Specific certifications as required (i.e. PALS, ACLS, NRP).
• Experience in customer service or home healthcare with exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care assessments, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and protocols.
• Evaluate status through history, diagnostics, and response to therapy.
• Develop and adjust care plans based on outcomes.
• Independently perform advanced respiratory procedures within scope of practice.
• Monitor progress and communicate with care team and patients.
