Job summary

First Day Homecare is seeking an experienced RN to provide overnight, one-on-one pediatric home care. You will work under physician orders in the child’s home, delivering skilled nursing services and ensuring safety and comfort for the patient.

The role offers a calm, family-centered environment with ongoing clinical support and training. A current MA RN license, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license are required, with a commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care per practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents changes in the medical record.
• Includes pediatric-specific services such as tracheostomy care and ventilator management when needed.
• Works with the client’s care team to coordinate services.
• Promotes safety and a supportive home environment.
• Adheres to agency policies and accreditation standards.
• Participates in care coordination and agency meetings.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of a medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

Reports To: Clinical Supervisor

Provides Supervision To: NA – No supervision responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
