Job summary

Altra Homecare of Kokomo is seeking compassionate caregivers to support Tipton clients in their homes. You will perform personal care, assist with daily activities, monitor health, and document changes for the supervising team.

Qualified applicants are at least 18, have a valid driver's license and auto insurance, and CPR certification. One year of caregiving experience is preferred, with strong reading and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid Driver's License and auto insurance.
• Preferred: minimum 1 year of caregiving experience.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care.
• Current CPR certification and compliance with state/federal training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient laundry and light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor safety.
• Report changes to supervisor promptly.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Record temperature and assist with ambulation and ROM exercises.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to care protocols.
• Offer bathing assistance and companionship, including letters and reading.

Job Summary:

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to join our team at Altra Homecare of Kokomo as a Tipton Caregiver. As a Tipton Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing essential personal care services to our patients in the comfort of their own homes. Our patient-first approach is built on strong relationships, and we are committed to delivering personalized care that meets each client's unique needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient laundry when necessary

• Provide medication reminders

• Ensure patient safety

• Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor

• Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required

• Monitor and record patient temperature

• Assist patients with ambulation

• Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities

• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols

• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines

• Offer bathing assistance

• Perform light housekeeping

• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance

• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience

• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided

• Current CPR certification

• Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws
