Job summary

SEIU Branding in Virginia seeks a field organizer to support a historic campaign to uplift homecare workers by securing collective bargaining rights and stronger workplace protections. You will engage caregivers door-to-door across Richmond, Hampton Roads, and Northern Virginia, building trust and expanding participation.

This temporary role begins October 1, 2025, with potential extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in community organizing or labor campaigns.
• Ability to engage diverse workers and explain rights.
• Fluent communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct door-to-door canvassing with homecare workers.
• Educate workers on rights and benefits of organizing.
• Recruit participants for events and meetings.
• Meet weekly outreach goals and track progress.
• Maintain records of conversations and follow-ups.
• Use VAN/MiniVAN to log interactions and data.
• Help mobilize workers for rallies and information sessions.
• Attend team meetings and campaign trainings.
