Job summary

The Oakridge School District is seeking a Homebound Teacher for Upper Elementary to support students with accessibility needs. You will design and deliver instruction tailored to individual learning plans, monitor progress, and adapt materials for home or community-based settings.

The role requires collaboration with families and school staff, strong communication, and experience using technology to enhance learning. Starting date is ASAP; deadline is Sept 18, 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education is required.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate.
• Recent teaching experience at or near grade level is desirable.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of teaching to multiple intelligences.
• Effective communication with students, staff, administrators, parents, and community.
• Experience using technology in instruction.
• Familiarity with Common Core standards and classroom application.
