Non-profit International Adoption Agency, Children’s House International (CHI), seeks Social Workers inLAS VEGAS, NV (home office in Lynden, WA). Children's House International is an international adoption agency with 50 years of experience. The agency is new to Nevada, but licensed in 6 states and 13 countries.

Description

Part-time Social Worker, conducting international home studies, writing post-adoption reports, and supporting families through document adoption process and beyond. Extremely flexible schedule. Competitive compensation on a fee-for-service basis. Paid training. Must live in the Las Vegas area. Must hold an MSW. It is a very rewarding position helping families and children find their forever homes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct adoptive home study interviews and home inspections and write reports.
• Conduct home visits and interviews for post-adoption reports.
• Guide families to local resources.
• Involvement with family and the case management of that family.
• Maintain database and digital family files for each case (case manager available to assist you).

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a social worker.
• International adoption experience is a plus.
• Social perceptiveness and empathy.
• Organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships.
• Ability to relate and communicate with diverse populations and groups.
• Resilience along with the ability to assess situations.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the state in which you are located.
• Willing to submit to background checks.

Work location

50% On the road to visit family homes and 50% remotely writing up reports.

Schedule

Choose your own hours. Monday-Friday or weekends if preferred.
