Job summary

Accendra Health seeks a skilled respiratory therapist to provide home-based respiratory care, educate patients and caregivers, and support patients through clinical assessments and treatment plans.

The role includes traveling to patients’ homes in the Florida area, performing tests, and coordinating with physicians to ensure effective care. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for respiratory therapy.
• NBRC registration or licensure required where state practice allows.
• Current CPR certification and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct patients/caregivers on proper use of respiratory equipment and care procedures.
• Perform clinical assessments (pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry, vitals) and monitor patients.
• Coordinate with physicians regarding treatment plans and home environments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and data entry for monitoring systems.
• May perform on-call duties and assist with scheduling as needed.
