Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our growing team in New Jersey. The role focuses on setting up home medical equipment, including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, and training patients on proper usage of prescribed equipment.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, safety checks, reviewing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, and staying up-to-date with pulmonary care techniques. On-call hours may apply based on center needs.

Qualifications

• CRTs and RRTs are eligible for this position.
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state/national board.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Must maintain a valid driver\'s license and auto insurance in state of residence.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and related concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency depending on center size and staffing.
