Job summary

Harry & David is seeking a Merchandise Manager, Home, to execute merchandising strategies and drive the financial performance of Home categories. This role partners with Product Development, Planning, Marketing, Creative, and Sourcing to deliver compelling assortments and growth in the gifting and entertaining space.

Responsibilities include managing assortments, pricing, promotions, and inventory productivity; monitoring customer trends and competitive activity; and mentoring Associate

Qualifications

• Experience leading merchandising initiatives and category strategies.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor performance, trends, and competitive activity.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Planning, Marketing, Creative and Sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial performance of assigned home categories, including sales, margin and inventory productivity.
• Develop and execute seasonal assortment plans aligned with category strategies and business objectives.
• Analyze customer trends, competitive activity, and business performance to identify opportunities for growth.
• Partner with Product Development to build innovative, trend-right assortments that meet customer needs and brand positioning.
• Manage product pricing, promotional activities, and lifecycle decisions to maximize sales and profitability.
• Monitor inventory performance and collaborate with Planning and Supply Chain to support forecast accuracy and health.
• Evaluate in-season performance and recommend actions to achieve sales and margin targets.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Planning, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations to execute merchandising initiatives.
• Prepare business reviews, forecasts, and recommendations for merchandising leadership.
• Support new product launches and category growth initiatives.
• Mentor and provide guidance to Associate Merchants or Merchandising Assistants.
