Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or preferred in related field.
• 5+ years of progressive merchandising, buying, category management, or product development experience.
• Experience managing assortments and delivering sales, margin, and inventory objectives.
• Analytical mindset to use business trends, insights, and metrics for decisions.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Planning, Marketing, Creative, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial performance of assigned categories, including sales, margin, profitability, and inventory productivity.
• Develop and execute seasonal assortment plans that support category strategies and business objectives.
• Analyze customer trends, competitive activity, and business performance to identify growth opportunities.
• Partner with Product Development to build innovative assortments aligned with customer needs and brand positioning.
• Manage product pricing, promotions, and lifecycle decisions to maximize sales and profitability.
• Monitor inventory performance and support forecast accuracy with Planning and Supply Chain teams.
• Evaluate in-season performance and recommend actions to hit sales and margin targets.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to execute merchandising initiatives.
• Prepare business reviews, forecasts, and recommendations for merchandising leadership.
• Support new product launches and category growth initiatives.
• Mentor and guide Associate Merchants or Merchandising Assistants.
