Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, and other sites. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety and independence, and maintain equipment per policies.

Role emphasizes field-based work with daily patient visits, HIPAA compliance, and on-call coverage as needed. Requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred; two years for senior level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Deliver, set up, and maintain equipment in patient homes and clinical settings.
• Complete documentation accurately to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services to referral sources as appropriate.
