Job summary

Avera Home Medical Equipment in Mitchell is seeking an HME Technician II to deliver, set up, and maintain medical devices at patients' homes or care facilities. You will educate patients on safe operation and perform routine safety checks.

The role requires physical work, on-call availability, and attention to documentation; join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to moving health forward for patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift and transport equipment.
• Excellent communication with patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of HME products and applicable regulations.
• Transport equipment safely using company vehicles and manage routes.
• Assemble medical devices on-site and demonstrate operation to patients.
• Complete documentation for setups and pickups in compliance with policies.
• Process transactions including registrations and transfers with accuracy.
• Understand reimbursement guidelines and collect necessary signatures.
• Conduct home visits for equipment quality checks and safety.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs per manufacturer guidelines.
• Available for on-call assignments after hours or weekends.
