Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to support patients in homes, clinics, or care settings. You’ll deliver, set up, and educate on respiratory and home medical equipment, ensuring safety and independence while maintaining HIPAA standards.

Primarily field-based with daily patient home visits and on-call rotation. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong customer service experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year healthcare technician or related experience preferred; senior level two years.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and reassess to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use of equipment.
• Deliver, set up, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory and HME equipment.
• Complete documentation and billing-related tasks.
• Participate in on-call rotation and comply with policies.
