Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment at patients’ homes and clinics. You’ll educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety, and maintain equipment in compliance with HIPAA and standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and experience in healthcare, delivery, or field service. A customer-focused approach and willingness to participate in on-call rotations are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support appropriate ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues under emergency conditions when required.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per company policies and safety standards.
• Complete required compliance training and participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
