Job summary

AdaptHealth in California is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients’ homes, clinics, or other care settings, ensuring safety, comfort and independence.

You will educate patients and caregivers, perform assessments, maintain equipment, and handle basic troubleshooting, while contributing to on-call rotation and patient care continuity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience; two years for senior level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and maintain respiratory and HME equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting.
• Perform patient assessments and assist with care transitions.
• Respond to equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and document accurately.
