Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment at patients' homes, clinics, and other service locations. You will educate patients and caregivers, perform assessments, and ensure safety and compliance as part of a patient-centered care team.

Responsibilities include maintaining oxygen systems, documenting orders, and promoting services to referral sources, while upholding HIPAA and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Customer service, field-based, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician experience or related field preferred.
• Senior level requires two years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergency situations
• Maintain home oxygen systems during patient visits
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and PPE use
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment per policies
• Document orders accurately and timely to support care and reimbursement
• Promote company services to referral sources as appropriate
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle
• Participate in quality improvement and comply with policies
• Complete required compliance training and on-call rotation
• Perform other related duties as assigned
