Job summary

AMIGOS DEL VALLE INC is seeking a delivery driver at ADV-Mercedes Center in Mercedes, TX to drive their own vehicle on established routes and deliver prepared meals to homebound elders. You will verify trays, ensure safe delivery, and maintain sanitation of equipment.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication with clients and timely reporting of any issues to supervision. This is a hands-on, community-focused position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 6 months to 1 year related experience
• Current Class C driver's license and clean driving record
• Must have own transportation and be insured

• Drives own vehicle to deliver prepared meals to homebound elderly.
• Examines filled trays for completeness and ensures food is delivered in conformance with standards.
• Listens to and reports client complaints to supervisor; reports abnormal conditions observed at clients' homes.
• Records information and completed reports.
• Ensures all delivery equipment is in good condition and is responsible for the sanitation on a daily basis.
• Ensures the prepared meal plate is delivered to homebound elderly in hand and/or face to face at all times.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Job Details: Job Location: ADV- Mercedes Center Casa 7 - Mercedes, TX 78570, Salary Range: $9.00, JOB SUMMARY: Drives own vehicle over established route to deliver prepared meals to homebound elders by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drives own vehicle to deliver prepared meals to homebound elderly.
• Examines filled trays for completeness and ensures food is delivered in conformance with standards.
• Listens to and reports client complaints to supervisor; reports abnormal conditions observed at clients' homes.
• Records information and completed reports.
• Ensures all delivery equipment is in good condition and is responsible for the sanitation on a daily basis.
• Ensures the prepared meal plate is delivered to homebound elderly in hand and/or face to face at all times.
• Other duties may be assigned.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Reports hazardous situations to supervisors.

Qualifications: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current Class C drivers license and acceptable driving records as required by insurance carrier. Must have own transportation and possess personal auto liability insurance.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:

Ability to communicate in English and Spanish. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
