Job summary

AMIGOS DEL VALLE INC is seeking a delivery driver to transport prepared meals to homebound elders. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication and strict adherence to delivery standards.

Responsibilities include route-driven delivery, tray checks, reporting concerns to supervisors, maintaining sanitation, and ensuring meals are handed to clients in person. Valid Class C license and own transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow delivery routes and safety procedures.

• Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY: Drives own vehicle over established route to deliver prepared meals to homebound elders by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDrives own vehicle to deliver prepared meals to homebound elderly.Examines filled trays for completeness and ensures food is delivered in conformance with standards.Listens to and reports client complaints to supervisor; reports abnormal conditions observed at clients’ homes.Records information and completed reports.Ensures all delivery equipment is in good condition and is responsible for the sanitation on a daily basis.Ensures the prepared meal plate is delivered to homebound elderly in hand and/or face to face at all times.Other duties may be assigned.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:Reports hazardous situations to supervisors.EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current Class C drivers license and acceptable driving records as required by insurance carrier. Must have own transportation and possess personal auto liability insurance.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS: Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
